BA (Hons), PGCE, Diploma in Teaching Primary or Secondary Learners with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)
Since qualifying as a primary school teacher in 2005, my experience stems from teaching in Fairley House School, London’s leading day school for children with specific learning differences (SpLD), to varying outstanding schools in both Southport and London. I have worked as a class teacher in every year group across the primary phase from EYFS to Year 6 and have held many leadership roles including English Coordinator and Phase Group Leader.
Outside of the classroom, I have also made a difference to many children and young people as a specialist SpLD one-to-one tutor. I am a member of PATOSS, the Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties. I am an engaging teacher and set high expectations for the children I teach, with an emphasis on achievement for all.
I am passionate about teaching handwriting. Neat and legible handwriting can enhance your child’s self-esteem and confidence. It empowers them to express themselves and provides them with a core-lifelong skill, making the writing process easier and improving overall performance.
I am married with two children and I hold an enhanced DSB.
