BA HONS Primary Education the Early Years with QTS

I am a primary school teacher with over 22 years’ experience. I have taught across the whole primary range and have taught children with a wide range of academic needs including children with social, emotional, physical and neurodiverse needs.

I am a patient, nurturing and empathetic teacher who treats every child as an individual. During my many years as a teacher I have seen children struggle with handwriting and the fine motor skills involved in the writing process. Handwriting is an essential tool in the writing process and I feel children who have neat, well-formed handwriting go on to be confident writers. Children need the confidence to write with accuracy and speed which is essential when they go on to sit exams.

I have 2 children of my own, aged 7 and 9 and have always instilled in them, the need for neat, legible writing. They are now both confident writers and take pride in making their handwriting look neat and well-presented.
