”My son Isaac just turned 10 years old when he commenced Magic Link with Alicia. I had for many years been in touch with school around his pencil grip and his handwriting, the school had started the policy of cursive writing from reception and he had never really got to grips with any of it and it held him back significantly.

Alicia was wonderful with Isaac, she has a lovely way with children is kind and sensitive and makes sure she has a very good rapport with the child before the actual work begins. There is lots of discussion and practice and fun. The pace of the lessons were just right, not too quick or slow, by the end of around 10 sessions I am happy to say Isaac can handwrite beautifully and his pencil grip is perfect. His confidence has soared and his work has been positively commented on by his teacher. My only regret is that I did not do this sooner as I don’t think the schools have enough time to focus on handwriting and pencil grip due to the current DFE curriculum.

I would highly recommend Alicia and the programme to anyone who has concerns with their children’s handwriting and not to wait, I think I did it in the nick of time before bad habits were really embedded but in hindsight I would have done it at age 6/7 and not waited for school to correct it, because even outstanding schools don’t seem to focus on this skill.” Carol Roberts.
