BA (Hons) English Studies; PGCE with QTS
I am a secondary school English teacher with over 23 years’ experience. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught English to year 7 through to GCSE at year 11. I have experience of working with children and teenagers with a wide range of academic needs, including those with neurodiverse needs.
As an English teacher – and a mum of 3 – I am aware of the barriers that handwriting struggles can pose. The amount of writing required for English alone is vast and, for a student who isn’t confident in producing neat, cursive handwriting, can be daunting. Being able to write with neat, well-formed letters leads to an increase in confidence and self-esteem, allowing children to engage with learning and supporting them with their overall academic success. I am passionate about helping children of all ages reach their full potential and I believe that helping students to remove barriers that struggles with handwriting can create and giving them the confidence to write with accuracy and speed is essential in their learning journey.
Please fill out my contact form, attach a sample of handwriting, and I will be in touch with you.
